Passion Party

A couple of weeks ago, I hosted a Passion Party at my house. It was one of the most fun "Girls Night In" I’d ever planned. If you need an excuse to get your girls together and bring a little heat to the final days of summer, have a girl’s night in passion party. Trust me, you won’t regret it.

If you're not familiar with the passion party concept, allow me to introduce you. Passion Parties are basically Tupperware parties, but the airtight food containers are replaced with "sensual products designed to promote intimacy and communication between couples." You can book a Passion Party consultant who will come to your home and facilitate product demonstrations. – www.thetreasurechest.yourpassionconsultant.com.

Mix in a few fun games (ideas below), some sexy cocktails (our favorite is Nuvo) and unique party favors and voila, you've got a sexy end of summer soiree!

Decor

I love the timesaving deco-in-a-box offered by Socialcouture.com. Check out their
"Girls Night Out" theme with pink runners, candles in hot pink votive holders and Zebra stripped dishware.

In between the product demos, I spiced up the evening with the sexy games below.

Games

Panty Raid

How well do you know your friends? Better yet, how well do you know their taste in undies (not saying you should)? With this fun game of "guess who" you and your gal pals will attempt to match pairs of undies to the person who brought them to the party. The person who correctly matches the most pairs of panties with their owner wins a sexy prize (I gave a gift card to Victoria’s Secret).

How to play:

Tell each invited guest to purchase and bring to the party a pair of panties that reflects their style and taste. As each guest arrives ask them to lay out their panties on a designated "display area." Assign a number to each pair of panties. Once each guest has placed their underwear in the display area and you're ready to play, give each guest a slip of paper on which to write their guesses. Guests should write their guess next to the corresponding number. Collect all the slips of paper and tally the correct guesses. Award a prize to the winner.

I'll take your man

This "Girls Night In" is all about passion and fantasy, so use the opportunity to engage your guests in a playful man stealing game. I searched Google Images to find pictures of male celebs (business card sized photos work best). Cut out each photo and place in an ID badge holder (www.iBuyOfficeSupply.com). As each guest arrives, allow her to choose a celeb that will be her man for the night (also known as a one night stand). Tell guests if they are caught by another guest - crossing their arms or legs, or saying any of the following taboo words or phrases: sex, bed, how do you use that? – the guest that catches them can take their man and any others they've accumulated. At the end of the night, the girl with the most men wins (disclaimer: this may not be true in real life).

Musical Teddy

This game is a grown up twist on musical chairs with a surprise ending. While music plays, girls pass around what they believe is a wrapped item of lingerie. When the music stops, the person holding the box must unwrap a layer of paper. Whoever unwraps the final layer of paper must model what's inside the box (which is really a teddy bear, not a teddy). Once my friends heard the directions to this game, it was more like playing hot potato than musical chairs!

To play: wrap a teddy bear in a box (a small, flat bear works best – it needs to fit in a shirt box). Beneath the final layer of wrapping paper, attach a note to the box instructing the holder of the box to take the box into a bathroom, unwrap it and model what's inside. She and your guests will be humorously surprised when the winner comes out holding a cute Teddy Bear!

½ cup creamed corn
2 tablespoons minced seeded jalapeno chiles
Tomato salsa for garnish

Heat 1.5 tablespoons vegetable oil in heavy large skilled over medium-high heat. Add finely chopped onion and sauté until soft and beginning to brown, stirring often, about 12 minutes. Cool.

Preheat oven to 350F. Spray 8x8x2 inch metal baking pan with nonstick spray. Whisk flour, cornmeal, baking powder, and salt in small bowl. Chic Favors

I gave each guest a custom chocolate-dipped fortune cookie from www.beaucoup.com. Inside, the fortune said, “Passion is in your future.”
